1. Who we are
This website is operated by GMK Digital Limited (“GMK Digital”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a digital agency based in London, United Kingdom. For the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, GMK Digital is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
GMK Digital Limited is a company registered in England and Wales (company number 11212762). Registered office: 7 Bell Yard, London, England, WC2A 2JR.
If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us at hello@gmkdigital.com.
2. What information we collect
We keep data collection to a minimum. The only personal data we collect through this website is what you choose to give us when you submit our contact form:
- your name
- your company name
- your email address
- the service you're interested in
- the content of your message
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools on this website, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
Like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically records standard technical information in server logs when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. These logs are used only to keep the website secure and working properly.
3. How we use your information
We use the information you submit through our contact form to:
- respond to your enquiry
- discuss and provide the services you've asked about
- keep a record of our correspondence with you
We will not add you to a mailing list, sell your data or share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
4. Our lawful basis
We process enquiry data on the basis of our legitimate interests in responding to people who contact us and in running our business. Where your enquiry leads to a contract for services, we process the data necessary to take steps towards and perform that contract.
5. Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run this website. They process data on our behalf and only for the purposes described here:
- Formspree processes contact form submissions and delivers them to us by email.
- SiteGround hosts this website and keeps standard server logs.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces used on this website. When your browser loads a font, Google receives your IP address as part of that request.
We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
6. International transfers
Some of our service providers may process data outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, or adequacy regulations, to make sure your data remains protected.
7. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to respond and to manage any resulting relationship, and in any case for no longer than 24 months after our last contact unless we have an ongoing business relationship or a legal obligation to keep it longer. Server logs are retained by our hosting provider in line with its own retention schedule.
8. Cookies
This website does not set any tracking, analytics or advertising cookies. Because we don't use non-essential cookies, you won't see a cookie consent banner.
When you submit the contact form, Formspree may set strictly necessary cookies or use similar technologies to deliver your message and protect against spam and abuse. These are governed by Formspree's own privacy policy. You can control and delete cookies at any time through your browser settings.
9. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you
- ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- ask us to delete your data
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we process your data
- ask for your data in a portable format
To make a request, email hello@gmkdigital.com. We'll respond within one month. There is normally no charge.
10. GDPR compliance statement
GMK Digital is committed to handling personal data lawfully, fairly and transparently, in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. We collect only the data we need, use it only for the purposes stated, keep it secure, and retain it no longer than necessary. We apply the same principles when we handle client data in the course of delivering our services, under the terms agreed in each client contract.
11. Keeping your data secure
This website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. We use reputable service providers with appropriate security measures, and we limit access to enquiry data to those who need it to respond to you.
12. Website disclaimer
