The generator
Only brand and category are needed. The more you add, the closer the prompts get to what your buyers really ask.
Your prompts
Add your brand and category above to personalise these prompts.
What AI says when someone asks about you by name.
Whether you're named when buyers ask for options in your space.
Whether AI points to you when buyers describe the problem, not the product.
How you come out when buyers compare you with competitors.
The shortlist questions buyers ask right before they get in touch.
We'll test your prompts across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews, and reply personally with what AI says about you and your competitors. Free, with no obligation.
The guide
Ask it the questions your buyers ask, in a clean session, and record what comes back. Testing a fixed set of prompts on a regular schedule turns a one-off curiosity into a measurement you can track.
Because buyers increasingly take the answer at face value. Google reported more than 2 billion monthly users of AI Overviews in July 2025. And when Pew Research Center studied the Google searches of 900 US adults in March 2025, people clicked a link inside an AI summary on just 1% of visits.
If an AI answer leaves you out, describes you wrongly or recommends a competitor, it won't show up in your analytics. Testing is the only way to see it.
Cover every stage of how buyers research, not just your brand name.
The downloadable tracking sheet gives you one row per prompt and a column for each platform. For each test, record:
From there, your AI share of voice is the number of prompts that mention you, divided by the total number of prompts, multiplied by 100. Track the same figure for your main competitors to see who AI currently favours.
AI assistants generate each answer fresh, so wording and recommendations vary from one run to the next. Answers also change with whether the assistant searches the web, where you are, which model is used, and what it remembers about you.
That's why one test proves very little. Run each prompt two or three times, use clean sessions, and look for patterns across your whole prompt set rather than reacting to a single answer.
It usually comes down to one of three things: AI crawlers can't access your site, your content isn't easy to quote, or not enough trusted sources mention you. Work through them in that order:
The generator fills your details into 18 proven prompt patterns across the five buyer intents. Problem and comparison prompts repeat for each problem and competitor you add, so a full set comes to up to 28 prompts. Location and audience are added only where they read naturally. Everything happens in your browser.
It's a question you put to an AI assistant to see whether, and how, it mentions your brand. Good prompts mirror what real buyers ask: questions about your brand, your category, the problems you solve and how you compare with competitors.
Twenty to thirty prompts across the five types is enough to spot patterns without becoming a chore. Keep the set the same each time you test, so you can compare results over time.
Start with the ones your buyers use. For most businesses that means ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode. Results differ between platforms, so test each one separately.
Yes, where you can. AI assistants personalise answers using your history and saved memories, which can make your own brand look more visible than it is. A logged-out session or ChatGPT's Temporary Chat gives a cleaner read.
Monthly if AI search is a priority, otherwise quarterly. Also re-test after major changes, such as a website relaunch, new content or a wave of press coverage.
It's the share of your test prompts in which your brand is mentioned. If you appear in 9 of 30 prompts, your share of voice is 30%. Tracking it for your competitors too shows who AI currently favours in your category.
No. The prompts are generated in your browser and nothing is saved. If you click Ask ChatGPT or Ask Perplexity, that one prompt is sent to that service, as if you'd typed it there yourself.
